Maui all ways asked to go fishing with his older brothers but they would make up excuses.
Maui made a fishing line from flax.

Dear, Lucus
I have been on the waka for 1 week now. I am still very nervous to be leaving everything I have and everyone I know. I have made some good friends already. I am also very excited to be going to a new country to see other places in our big world.
I hope to write back to you soon
Fleur
Bonus.
I think it would be a fun idea but you would have to be quite strong

ReplyDeleteHi there Fleur!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Jade F and I am one of the bloggers for your school cluster in the Summer Learning Journey!
Great start to your Summer Learning Journey! I really enjoyed reading your letter to your friend Lucas. I would feel nervous too! Could you tell me why you think Waka Ama would be a fun activity to do and why you would have to be very strong to be part of it?
Hope to hear from you soon and I cannot wait for more blog posts from you!
Jade F :)
Kia Ora Fleur,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Georgia and I am the cluster manager for the Kaikohekohe (Northland) cluster. For the next few days, I'll be commenting on students blogs from Uru Manuka and I am very excited to see the work you all have been doing this summer.
It is awesome to see you've completed the first day of activities. I especially like your letter to your friend Lucas. It's great to see you've included how you'd be feeling about making the move to NZ. I am from Whangarei which is near the very top of the North Island, but I live in Wellington during the year for University.
Just a reminder that there are two weeks left for you to complete activities. If you cant remember where to find the activities here's a link:

I hope you've had a great summer holidays and get a chance to complete more blog posts soon.
Nga mihi
